Project Description

Perini Management Services led a design-build team for upgrades to  U.S. Coast Guard Fast Response Cutter (FRC) Homeport facilities at Sector San Juan that included construction of a new Engineering Support Building, as well as demolition of three existing buildings and renovations to an existing Vessel and Electronic Support building. The project was phased and included the provision of temporary facilities for Coast Guard personnel. The new 2-story building was constructed of a structural steel frame and pre-cast concrete panel shell on pre-cast concrete pile foundations, within a very tight footprint in close proximity to the waterfront and on-going base activities.
