Project Description

This  helicopter maintenance facility and landing zone at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad is an example of design-build projects performed by Perini Management Services under three consecutive Multiple Award Task Order Contracts (MATOCS) with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. From 2003 through 2014 Perini completed 23 task-orders with a total value of more than $1.3 billion worth of projects in Iraq and Afghanistan under the USACE contracts. For this project, Perini accommodated several Owner requested design changes for added scope, as well as an accelerated schedule for the helicopter landing pad.
