Perini Management Services, Inc. Selected by National Park Service for Earthquake Damage Repairs to the Washington Monument

Sylmar, CA – Tutor Perini Corporation (NYSE: TPC), a leading civil and building construction company, today announced that its subsidiary, Perini Management Services, Inc. (PMSI), has been awarded a $9.6 million contract to repair the Washington Monument, which was damaged by an earthquake on August 23, 2011. 

The project was competitively awarded by the National Park Service as a task-order under an existing Department of Interior contract. Perini Management Services specializes in construction projects for the U.S. government and has a well-established performance record of delivering complex construction and design-build projects under multiple award task order contracts (MATOCs).

For this highly visible project on the National Mall and Memorial Park area, PMSI assembled a team of construction specialists who have all worked on previous repairs to the Washington Monument and therefore possess the necessary skills and experience to accomplish this project. The team includes Grunley Construction Company, Inc. of Rockville, MD; Lorton Stone, LLC of Springfield, VA; and Universal Builders Supply, Inc. of Hyattsville, MD.
